We are proud to present the launch of a new annual piece of programming: the first ever Get REAL Anti-Bullying Video Contest! Sharing our stories through film has been a huge part of our growth and success, and thanks to our amazing sponsors at Telus and the Toronto Arts Council, we are excited to open the door to young people across Canada, and the globe.

The details:

  • Any young person between Grades 7 - 12 is eligible to submit

  • A Toronto, overall Canadian, overall US, and overall Global winner will all be announced

  • The Toronto winner's short will be remade professionally with the help of our creative team and screened in June of 2019

  • Applicants are invited to film and edit a 30 second creative video combatting bullying

  • The specific type of bullying (LGBTQ+ discrimination, racism, cyber bullying, etc.) is up to the individuals submitting

  • For more details and for the application form, please contact info@thegetrealmovement.com

This project is made possible thanks to our sponsors Telus Community Investment and the Toronto Arts Council.
